One of
the most important things that people can do is
come together for prayer. As we offer prayers
for our world, for those whom we love and for
ourselves, we connect with the transformational
power of the Creator of all. As we take part in
the celebration of the Eucharist and connect
with the love and mercy of God, we are nurtured
in body, mind and spirit.
Each
week we gather to participate in a time of
sacred connection. Some may be familiar with the
word Mass, some may call it communion, some may
know it as the Lord's Supper. In our parish, the
words may differ a little here and there from
what you may know, but the flow will be very
familiar.
Here in
our little parish you are welcome. We are
inclusive and believe that the Creator made ALL
people, so here, you will find a place where you
can truly be yourself.
We
gather at 10:30 a.m. on
Sundays.
We follow the Revised Common Lectionary and
often there is a reading from a modern-day
teacher as part of the service. As we are a
small group, you are welcome to participate by
doing a reading or leading prayers if you wish.
If you play keyboard and would like to play a
few songs, we have a keyboard
available.
We know
that as we progress, the liturgy will reflect
the community's needs and "personality."
